
Dr. Kilpatrick is Professor of English Literature and Sport Management and Director of the Sport Management Program at Mercy College, New York. He is the Club Historian of the New York Cosmos, and oversees the coaching education program in the Northeast as the Section 3 Coach Trainer for the American Youth Soccer Organization. He earned his PhD in Comparative Literature and MA in Philosophy from Binghamton University and his MS in Sport Management from SUNY-Cortland. He has earned coaching certifications from The FA (England), Irish FA, and US Soccer Federation and is an AYSO Advanced Coach Instructor. A member of the Society for American Soccer History board of directors and the editorial board of Soccer and Society, he has presented his research on soccer in England, Germany, Italy, Scotland, Switzerland, and Turkey, appeared on BBC World, India Today, MSG Network, OneWorld Sports, and Sports Tonight Live, and has written for The New York Times, Soccer and Society, and Sport in Society. He is the author of Obrigado: A Futebol Epic (Beadle) and editor of The State of the Field: Ideologies, Identities and Initiatives (Routledge). His current research focuses on the aesthetics of soccer, coaching education, and the history of soccer in New York. Kilpatrick began his coaching career as Head Coach of the boys modified program at Canajoharie in 1994, and has coached for the New York Cosmos, Dobbs Ferry SC, Rivertowns United FC, Sleepy Hollow FC, and the Masters School. He is currently the Head Coach of the Mercy College Soccer Club.

Dylan Kilpatrick (Director of Curriculum and Instruction) has worked for NYCFC Youth Programs since 2018, coaching teams, clinics, and camps in Harlem (Manhattan), Queens, Westchester County, Connecticut, and during the summer of 2020 with NYCFC’s innovative online technical skills camp. A 2018 graduate of Dobbs Ferry High School, he was named 2017 All-Section I, where he helped his team to a league title as a senior. He has played for Rivertowns United FC and Markethill Swifts (Northern Ireland) and trained with New York Red Bulls Regional Development School, New York Cosmos Satellite School, and Linfield FC (defending champions, Irish Premier League). As a professional e-Sport gamer, he featured playing FIFA for NFG e-Sports (owned and managed by current Leicester City fullback Christian Fuchs), twice winning the New York Cosmos FIFA Championship, often ranking in the top 100 players in the Americas and achieving a ranking of 256th among world FIFA players. Currently pursuing a dual-degree BS in Business Administration: Sport Management from Mercy College and BSc (Honours) in Football Coaching: Sport Business from Ulster University (Northern Ireland), his specializations are tactics, finishing, fitness and
conditioning.

Jenelle Dillenbeck (Director of Women’s Coaching) graduated from Canajoharie High School in 2014. She played on the girls Varsity team for four years. Playing mostly as a striker but, also has experience playing Midfield. Within those four years she was name the MVP of the Maple Hill Tournament, made Second Team All-Star, First team All-Star (x3). She was Section 2 Class C Player of the year. Named First Team All-State and named Most Offensive player(x3). She scored 43 goals her Senior year. She holds Canajoharie’s girls soccer record for most goals scored in a season. She lead the Canajoharie girls soccer in their best season program in history, claiming the Section 2 Class C Championship.
She participated in many various indoor/summer leagues. She participated in many soccer camps to understand and play the game better. After high school she played for Utica Coliseum Club for a season before moving on to play for MVCC (Mohawk Valley Community College). She played for two seasons and was awarded Player of the week(x2). She was Captain her second season. She lead the Nation in scoring and was named to the 2014 All-Conference Team of the Mountain Valley Conference.

Shelby McCall has been coaching since soccer and basketball since 2016. She coached boys soccer for two years and now coaching girls basketball. She went to Edmeston Central School where she earned Tri-Valley all star and MVP honors. She traveled to Spain in 2013 with Section IV All-Stars to play soccer in tournaments against other countries. Shelby then went on to play soccer and lacrosse at Mohawk Valley CC. As a senior at MVCC, Shelby was captain of her team while taking Coaching and Sports Marketing classes. She has played almost every position on the field in both high school and college and has a versatile look on the game from many different positions.
